Village and health
Water, a health station, work on the ground. So Lama Gaon stays a home.
The third pillar is the village itself. Education alone keeps no one if the road is gone, water is scarce, or nobody in the village can be treated.
The health station was built in 2009 by a Norwegian delegation, then fell into disuse, and was repaired in 2015 after the earthquake. It belongs in everyday running, not only in an emergency. Its status in 2026 is unconfirmed.
Water project 900 started after 2015: a spring at Dakshinkali, a high tank, supply for hill and valley villages. Archive figures speak of around 900 households. The association still needs to confirm that.
There is also biofarming, the school kitchen, and the Birds Nest — a home for children without a reliable family. In 2021 the hostel came under pressure to close. A new house next to the school was planned. Today’s status is open.
