Education

Since 2011 a school in Lama Gaon has kept children in the village.

The Dolphin Magic School is the heart of the association. It stands in Lama Gaon, an hour south of Kathmandu, near Pharping / Dakshinkali.

The school week runs Sunday to Friday. The gate opens at 9:00, the morning ritual around 9:30, classes from 10:00 to 15:00 or 16:00 — Friday is shorter. There is a school bus. Extras: music, dance, martial arts, biofarming, crafts, trips.

The pedagogy draws on Montessori — especially in kindergarten — and anthroposophical criteria. The language of instruction is English, with explanations often in Nepali. Subjects: Mathematics, English, Science, Nepali, Computing & GK, Social Studies.

On the ground, Suresh leads the project and Manisha leads the school. Team Nepal stands as equals beside the board in Austria — without them there is no school day.

Pupil numbers on the old site contradict each other (120 / 180 / 240). Before launch the association needs to confirm one figure.
